Boost your baking bona fides by navigating the wide assortment of savory and sweet dough types (pâte brisée, pâte sucrée, pâte sablée).  Learn to choose the proper dough for a particular tart, and review methods for making it, whether creaming or sanding. Begin with mathematics (trust us, it’s the fun kind!), determining the ideal ratios of water, flour, and butter. Explore the multitude of flavor options from buttery to sweet, and how to achieve each. Play with the basic ingredients to create the perfect crust for each type of tart. Practice rolling and lining the tart pans as you tackle delicious dishes including mouthwatering Quiche Lorraine, followed by an array of desserts from a Chocolate Banana Nutella Galette, Apple Pecan Crumble Pie, and Sablée Cookies ( butter rich cookies)

 Class is open to children ages 12 -18 years old

Price is for (1) adult and (1) child ( age 12 - 18 years old)
