Southeast Asia is made up of several nations in an extensive geographical region including Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and others. The vast tropical environment boasts a luscious food history mingling bold ingredients and aromatic spices, tamarind, galangal, palm sugar, lemongrass, kaffir, basil, fish sauces, shrimp paste, coconut milk, and so much more!  Under the tutelage of our chef instructor, you will practice some of the more common cooking methods of Southeast Asia to construct deeply flavorful dishes representative of the region such as savory lumpia(Filipino spring rolls with sweet chili sauce), spicy chicken rendang (chicken curry stewed in coconut milk with cinnamon, cardamom, star anise, and lemongrass), fragrant nasi lemak (rice steamed with coconut), and smoky char kway teow (fresh Singaporean rice noodle sheets, charred shrimp paste, sambal chilies, shrimp, crab, mung bean sprouts, sweet soy, and lime). Finish off your palate-pleasing feast with fried bananas with sesame seeds and ube ( Purple yam) ice cream for dessert!
