Known for its earthy, hearty ingredients, Florentine cooking is simple and seasonal, consisting of local, fresh produce and characterized by breads, beans and roasted meats. Florentine cooking is meant to be enjoyed in the stile di famiglia (family style), as we will when we enjoy the luscious fruits of our labors including Crostini with Tuscan white bean puree , Panzanella (Tuscan bread salad), Bistecca alla Fiorentina (oven grilled porterhouse steak) over Rucola or arugula with shaved parmiggiano reggiano , Maltagliati ai funghi (fresh egg pasta with wild mushroom and pecorino), and Almond and Orange Biscotti.
